FrameSeek is a local-first application. Your video files, search queries, and indexed data never leave your device. We do not track your usage, collect analytics, or sell your data.
The following data is processed and stored entirely on your Mac and is never transmitted to us or any third party:

When you provide your email to download FrameSeek, we store your email address and download date. We will send you a download link and may follow up to ask about your experience. We may also use this email for product updates and announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any email.
When you purchase a license, we store your email address and license key. We will send you a follow-up email to check in on your experience and invite feedback. We do not track your location, IP address, or hardware details.
When you activate a license on a device, we store a randomly generated device identifier alongside your license key. This data is used solely to verify your license and enforce the activation limit (up to 2 devices).
If you choose to send feedback through the app, we receive the message you write and, optionally, your email address and basic app diagnostics (app version, macOS version, chip type, license status). You control what is included via a checkbox before sending.
On macOS 27 and later, FrameSeek uses Apple Intelligence for transcription and frame description, so no third-party model downloads are needed. A small embedding model (~86 MB) is downloaded from HuggingFace on first use. On older macOS versions, FrameSeek downloads additional AI models (~2 GB total) from HuggingFace. These downloads are subject to HuggingFace's Privacy Policy. After setup, no internet connection is required for local processing.
FrameSeek offers an optional Gemini API mode for frame descriptions. If you enable this mode and provide your own API key, extracted video frames are sent to Google's Gemini API. This is disabled by default and clearly labeled in the app. When using this mode, Google's Privacy Policy applies to the data sent to their API.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your payment information (credit card numbers, billing address, etc.). Stripe's Privacy Policy governs how your payment data is handled.
Our website and license API are hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process server logs including IP addresses as part of their standard infrastructure. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for details.
License records are retained for the duration of your license. Feedback messages are retained for 90 days. You can request deletion of your data by contacting support@frameseek.app.
FrameSeek is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
